Community Safety Program Manager @Lake Street Council

Develop a community safety program with goals, strategies, procedures, and performance measures; track progress and recommend changes-Support business owners, nonprofits, and community members with safety concerns and connect them to resources- Build relationships and support coordination efforts with the community and partner agencies, including the City of Minneapolis Office of Community Safety, Hennepin County, social service nonprofits, street outreach teams, private security firms serving local businesses, and community stakeholders- Staff a community committee to help guide the work- Support placemaking and activation efforts to enhance livability- Coordinate prevention and intervention efforts, including facilitating stakeholder meetings and planning events- Liaison with government agencies and local businesses to address litter, lighting, and infrastructure repair issues- Provide policy recommendations for city and county budgets- Support fundraising efforts to sustain and grow this work. Target Area:• As defined by the City of Minneapolis contract: Lake Street Cultural District - Pillsbury Avenue to the West, 28th Street to the North, Hiawatha Avenue to the East, and 32nd Street to the South. • As determined by Lake Street Council - The solutions and relationships you cultivate extend beyond these boundaries, and we hope this position will serve the entire 6-mile Lake Street corridor.
