The role focuses on managing and overseeing all Karuna Trust–managed health programs across Meghalaya under the Public-Private Partnership model with the National Health Mission (NHM) and the state government. Emphasis is on strengthening primary healthcare delivery in rural and tribal areas.Key Responsibilities:Program Supervision and Performance Monitoring: Responsible for the operational and managerial functions of all Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and Community Health Centres (CHCs) managed by Karuna Trust. Ensures that medical, paramedical, and support staff meet performance standards and that facilities operate according to established schedules.Government Liaison and Coordination: Coordinates with the state health department, NHM officials, and district administrations to plan, implement, and expand healthcare programs aligned with state health priorities.Team Leadership: Leads the state-level team, including field coordinators and support staff, providing guidance, support, and supervision to achieve programmatic goals effectively.Community Outreach and Program Implementation: Supports the Extended Community Health Outreach (ECHO) program to train ASHA workers and ANMs on priority health issues through virtual clinics and online sessions. Oversees the implementation of key initiatives such as antimicrobial resistance (AMR) programs and staff capacity-building programs for PHCs.Technology Integration and Infrastructure Management: Promotes the adoption of technology-based solutions, including virtual clinics for healthcare worker training. Ensures effective use and maintenance of physical infrastructure and equipment provided by the state government.Monitoring, Reporting, and Financial Oversight: Provides regular progress updates and reports to senior management and state-level partners, ensuring transparency and accountability in program operations.
