ABOUT NIMALAN MAHENDRAN
Nimalan is experienced in technical leadership as an individual contributor and as an engineering manager, particularly in machine learning (ML) and product engineering.Currently, Nimalan is working as a Staff ML engineer at Liminal Insights, across applied research, ML engineering for cloud and edge inference and data engineering. Before Liminal Insights, Nimalan held roles in these areas over an eight year tenure at Twitter. Much of this time was spent in Twitter\'s ML division, Cortex, building Twitter\'s ML platform and helping product teams across Twitter meet their goals through ML applications and applied ML research.Prior to Cortex, Nimalan built out the Contacts Graph team at Twitter. Prior to Twitter, Nimalan was a software developer at Summify (acquired by Twitter in 2012) and SAP Business Objects, and conducted ML research at UBC (MSc 2011).
