About Nilu Afshar
I started California Tastings because I saw there was a gap. This gap was the wine country visitor, feeling unsure about their wine tasting, or what to do outside of wine tasting. I created an easy 2 hour Wine class/conversation that would allow them to walk into any winery confidently. Sometimes you want to play with Saké or become a Mixologist but not sure where to go. We focus on Workshops & Gathering Friends around the table. The industry changes quickly and keeping up with it is key. It seems guests love the creativity of making their own Cocktails. So that’s what we offer, but we come to you. If you are staying at a Resort, Hotel or Inn in Wine Country, give us a try. I am the owner and I am a Certified Sommelier and will personally be your guide. Our goal is to be your guide into Wine Country. We are locals and know the area and after listening to what you are looking for will create the vacation of your dreams! Life is too busy to be researching an area when you don’t live there. There are over 500 wineries in Sonoma County and the same in Napa County. That takes a lot of hours to figure out when picking a few to visit. I look forward to assisting you for a very fun time between whatever you decide to do.
