Restaurant Service Staff - the Cellar @Mohawk Students\' Association Msa

Building on my existing experience within hospitality and service roles, my position encompasses all front-of-house duties within The Cellar, Mohawk College’s longstanding campus restaurant and bar. I was hired as part of The Cellar’s reopening as a full service bar and restaurant after COVID-19 ceased operations in 2020. Duties- Bartending: crafting drinks to house standards, garnish prep, bar open/closing duties, responsible alcohol service, cleanliness and organization of bar supplies. Server/Host/Floor Staff: providing friendly and detail-oriented table service to guests, creating a welcoming environment for all while building relationships with new-found regulars to The Cellar. Possessing knowledge of the entire menu, providing thoughtful recommendations, verifying that all food & drink leaving the kitchen meets house standards, handling cash & card transactions, and operation of Givex POS systems. Efficient multitasking and prioritization of tasks: ensuring all guests receive prompt service while managing the door, seating dine-in guests for other floor staff, bussing section tables, serving food & drinks at time of creation, maintaining strict service guidelines for guests with allergies, performing all opening and closing duties for FOH with a high degree of efficiency and eye for detail.
