ABOUT NILS ZOSEL
For a long time, I thought performance in life meant pushing harder, demanding more, and putting wellbeing second.Coming from competitive sports, I was used to the idea that performance requires sacrifice. Less recovery, less reflection, less space for happiness. Being happy felt like a bad sign. It meant I was becoming complacent.Over time, I learned that this mindset might deliver short-term results, but it rarely leads to sustainable success and prevents you from doing the things that actually matter in the long run. Interestingly, the same belief is still common in today’s working world: that wellbeing and performance are trade-offs.What excites me today is exploring and applying insights from Positive Psychology to modern, performance-driven environments.Especially in leadership. Research shows that factors like optimism, resilience, purpose, and psychological wellbeing are not “soft extras”, but core drivers of long-term performance. Leaders who foster autonomy, meaningful relationships and personal growth create teams that don’t just perform, they endure. As an SDR Team Lead, my focus is on building environments where people can perform at their best because they know their purpose.I enjoy sharing thoughts and practical insights on how leadership, wellbeing, and performance can reinforce each other. In teams, organizations, and life.
