ABOUT NILS-OLIVER BOLDT

After 10 years experience in different industries I made the decision to lead an impact-driven startup - Tälist: We are connecting people to build a more sustainable, secure, and fair food supply at scale. As technical co-founder, it is my goal to accelerate the growth of the Alternative Protein industry by building software products that create real change in the world.I started out as a project manager in event logistics, mainly for medical congresses and life science events. I learned how to identify optimal operations solutions in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment. Additionally, I took on the project of developing a custom-built software to automate processes within this space. This is how I found my passion for building impactful software products.Based on this newfound passion, I joined TLI Consulting: a start-up focused on taking away the pain of managing VAT in enterprise operations by means of software automation. I worked as a consultant, setting up compliant back-office processes and integrating VAT related software. With the goal to be the main driver in the development of the software, I gradually transitioned into product management. I took on the central product management role for the key software products when the company was acquired by Sovos Compliance.In 2021, I took the opportunity to lead the development of EventFlow, an event logistics scheduling software in addition to my full time job. We refined the product through customer exploration and testing of the product at various events. The software is currently used by the main event logistics service in Ireland.In 2020, I made the Giving What We Can Pledge to give away 10% of my income during my lifetime. Still, I had the growing feeling that I could do more good and searched for promising opportunities to significantly increase my positive impact on the world.With Tälist, we are working in an industry which tackles some of the most pressing problems that we collectively face in the 21st century.
