About Nilay Bhandari

I identify honest problem solving as my primary purpose at work. I believe my function is to be the enabler of deep user research that can form the fulcrum of the innovation process.My work has dealt in foundational, exploratory research and I have loved the inherent ambiguity involved in discovering unmet needs of customers (externally) and employees (internally). I have also dabbled in survey and evaluative research for physical and digital products. Beyond research, I have guided xFn workshops for translating insights to opportunities and further to ideas, prototypes and solutions. I have been fortunate to have done all this for users across different contexts: a village in Telangana, a kitchen in Mumbai, a pharmacy in Moscow, a hospital in Sao Paulo, a shanty in Johannesburg. As a discipline lead who brought this work to life with my team, I also have experience in talent scouting, acquisition and mentoring. On the sidelines, I keep exploring my childhood fascination with storytelling and its many dimensions.
