ABOUT NILACHAL MISHRA

I am currently serving as Partner and Head of the Government & Public Services (G & PS) practice at KPMG in India, bringing over 22 years of experience advising national and state governments in India, as well as globally.I am an accomplished leader with a distinguished track record in spearheading large-scale IFI-funded projects, including transformation strategy formulation, regulatory reforms, and complex change management across national sectors. My extensive experience encompasses key areas of India\'s national priorities, such as water and sanitation, public health, women and child development, rural livelihoods, skill development, sustainability, affordable housing, urban reforms, e-governance, justice & security, financial inclusion, and public services delivery.Throughout my career, I have collaborated closely with policymakers, government-led institutions, and international financial institutions to drive impactful outcomes and foster sustainable development.I am a regular speaker on sectoral and policy matters in media and industry forums and have conceptualized and co-authored thought-leadership publications. I hold a Master of Business Administration from ICFAI Business School and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science.My areas of expertise include policy models, impact investment, SDG localization monitoring and evaluation, public-private partnership and technology solutions. I specialize in sectors such as water and sanitation, urban development, skill development, justice and security, urban local bodies, passport services, and land administration.
