ABOUT NIKOLINA LESIC

Hi there! I\'m Nikolina, and I\'m glad you came across my profile! If we\'ve met before, I\'m sure you know a little bit about me, but if not, I hope the following helps you get to know me a bit better! Let\'s start with my pastimes. Since my professional life is highlighted on this page, I think it would be nice for me to share some of my other interests with you. I have played on various sports teams, but soccer has always been my favourite. I started playing when I was young and continue to both play and coach today. I\'ve achieved many milestones in soccer, but now it is rewarding for me to pass down my passion to the younger generations that I get to coach. I love art in all forms, and while I may not have much time now to pursue my own, I really do enjoy experiencing the creativity it brings. In high school, I took many art courses that pushed me toward graphic design, but I quickly pivoted to marketing, as it incorporates my creative side into the business areas I also love. Now, in my marketing career, my love for art has influenced my work, and I embrace any new challenges where I can showcase my creative and artistic side. Although many people wouldn’t call it a pastime, I do love being a student. I enjoy creating weekly schedules, which include classes, studying, projects, meetings, work, and soccer. I love the lifestyle of a student and truly appreciate my education. I also enjoy being extremely organized, and you will often see me tweaking my hourly schedule on my iPad to ensure I stay on track with all my commitments. I love to travel and explore new places, learning about different cultures, and meeting people whose stories and perspectives broaden my own. Whether it’s discovering hidden local gems, immersing myself in a country’s traditions, or trying new foods, I find that travel continuously inspires me—both personally and creatively. Many of my volunteer experiences, both past and present, have been within the Croatian community here in Kitchener. I have been an active member in our church, folklore group, hall, and club. My first job was as a server at our hall, and to this day, I still volunteer to serve and bartend whenever our folklore group needs it. More recently, I was elected as the Communication Director for our Croatian Folklore Music & Dance group, where I get to combine my love for marketing with my Croatian heritage. 🫶 I hope this helped you get to know me a little better, and I would love to connect with you over Linkedin!
