ABOUT NIKOLE RAJGOR
Hi! I\'m Nikole, an alum of Hunter College and current Marketing Strategy Assistant for CUNY\'s Office of Communications and Marketing! What ties the work of creative marketing and journalism for me personally is the way in which multimedia paints a story and highlights communities, especially in the case of the nations largest public urban university. Being able to tell CUNY\'s story to New York, and especially for what it can do for students of all backgrounds, comes with a lot of care, thought and responsibility. Outside of CUNY, I am also a journalist with words published in The Nation, Secret NYC, and The Envoy, the latter where I served as editor-in-chief! My stories cover anything and everything New York City: politics, youth organizing, housing, or even a rare flower that bloomed at the New York Botanical Garden.I first became involved with journalism when I used to create my own newspaper out of paper and crayons for my third-grade class, and since then it\'s blossomed into a genuine passion in a world where misinformation is easily spread. But beyond that, I just love to write. It has always been a love of mine, and with this passion, I\'ve been fortunate enough to attend Hunter debt-free as a New York Times Scholar and would love to further explore my capabilities through media opportunities.
