ABOUT NIKOLAY STANCHEV
With over six years of experience in data science and financial modelling, I am passionate about applying data analysis, machine learning, and optimization techniques to solve complex business problems and deliver value to customers and stakeholders. As a Data Scientist at Channel, I work with a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, and business analysts to build and deploy scalable and robust data solutions that support the SME direct lending business and the Fintech lending fund.In my current role, I have structured a risk decision engine, developed a cash flow forecasting model, implemented an end-to-end scoring algorithm, and produced a portfolio monitoring dashboard, among other projects. These solutions have improved the speed, accuracy, and efficiency of the lending process, as well as the performance, profitability, and sustainability of the portfolio. To achieve these results, I have leveraged my skills in data analysis, data science, and analytical skills, as well as my knowledge of econometrics and finance. I have also used various tools and technologies, such as Python, R, SQL, Spark, Linux, and AWS.
