ABOUT NIKOS GAKIS
Nikos Gakis, is a member of the BlackRock Manager Research (“BMR”) team within the Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions group (“MASS”). MASS constructs active asset allocation strategies and whole portfolio solutions across a wide spectrum of commingled funds, separate accounts, model portfolios, and outsourcing solutions in the wealth and institutional channels. Mr. Gakis joined Blackrock from BNP Paribas Asset Management, where he was an Investment Risk and Operational Due Diligence, Analyst. Prior to this, he worked as an Alternatives ODD Analyst at Aksia LLC. He started his career in the insurance division of the National Bank of Greece. Additionally, Mr. Gakis served in the Hellenic military, where he completed his service as a Lieutenant (NATO: OF-1) in the Hellenic Army Infantry Division.Mr. Gakis graduated summa cum laude from the American College of Greece with a BS in Business Administration. He took part in exchange programs at Stanford University, the London School of Economics, Bocconi University, and KLU Hamburg. During his studies, he also interned in Beijing, China, with a UN-affiliated NGO focused on International Relations and Development. He is currently pursung a part-time MSc in Quantitative Finance at Birkbeck, University of London.Mr. Gakis holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and the Certified Derivatives and Debt Analyst (CDDA) designation.
