They fail because no one decides what not to do.I treat every data initiative as a product bet: owned, prioritized, measured, and killed when it doesn’t deliver.The pattern is predictable: tools before use cases, governance as compliance theater, expensive platforms, crowded backlogs, and no measurable shift in decision quality.I apply product management discipline to data strategy and governance: clear ownership, explicit kill criteria, and outcomes tied directly to business value.At TIMOCOM, I’m building enterprise-wide data governance and AI readiness from the ground up in a complex, multi-product B2B environment, aligning ownership models, architecture direction, KPI frameworks, and board-level governance so data work translates into business results.Previously, I helped scale BI across 41 markets for Mercedes-Benz via Publicis, navigating requirements, legacy systems, and country realities to reduce time-to-insight and establish a shared way of working with data.Before data, there was elite sport.
