Shortly after joining Jobsite as Head of UX, the role expanded as part of a restructure to cover all StepStone UK brands. Achievements led to a promotion to operate at a global level. Responsible for a matrix-managed team of 30+ covering user research, product design, and service design. Leading the experience across both jobseeker (B2C) and recruiter (B2B) platforms in a marketplace environment- Repositioned the role of UX to shift from pure execution to playing a more influential role, integrating UX into several product domains, establishing research and service design functions- Driving product discovery initiatives to rethink the product offering and experience- Introduced design communities, knowledge sharing and peer critique sessions into working practices- Shifted the product development approach, moving from being feature-focused to being driven by customer needs and goals, leading to a 12% increase in performance- Rolled out a scalable design system and processes to continuously improve the UI across 12+ brands, supported by a newly formed DesignOps team- Driving a research programme to better understand jobseekers’ and recruiters’ jobs to be done- Developing a Voice of Customer framework to unify our understanding of customers’ sentiment throughout the journey and close the feedback loop.
