ABOUT NIKKI AN
When I was around 14, I watched a lot of home makeover and interior design shows. I was so inspired that I went to the Dollar Store, purchased new pillow cases, baskets, mats and throws and gave my mom\'s living room a makeover. I designed around these old couches we got from a friend and when I was done, the living room was coordinated around burnt orange and ombre brown. In Uni, I decided to study psych because I wanted to better understand myself and those around me. My journey since has been trying to synthesize the study of people and the study of environments scaled up and down to create new value and experiences. My current practice is thinking about systems and applying design strategy to complex problems and simplifying them. What\'s fun about designing is getting to visualize spaces both abstract and concrete and getting to create something beautiful, elegant and #product design, design strategy, experience design, design thinking, service design, systems thinking, interaction design, user interface design, user research, design theory, human-computer interaction, information architecture
