ABOUT NIKKI ZEUNER
I have supported nonprofits and multi-stakeholder coalitions in their efforts to develop resources and capacity for three decades. I still think that the sector and its people deserve more than management advice from the corporate world. I consult on navigating change, co-create resource strategies, and I help build and sustain partnerships. I am humbled by the many clients and partners I had the honor to work with. They are mission driven, incredibly creative, resourceful and innovative. Everything I know I have learned from them. I care about people feeling agency to make change. Change for the better in their community, their movement, their organisation, the world. What drives me is seeing a person or a group or an organisation experience a positive impact, and feeling that I have contributed a little bit to that. I am curious about many things and still have a lot to learn: What are conditions for innovation to thrive? How can we get past the power walls between funders and grantees? How do we sustain collective impact? How can a global movement be democratic and build the capacity of its under-resourced members? How do we assure marginalized voices are at the table?
