Lighting Design Intern

As a Studio Intern at Derek Porter Studio, I am currently work on lighting design projects that explore the relationship between human perception, and spatial experience. I develop conceptual narratives, create lighting diagrams, and assist with photometric analysis using tools like AGi32. I contribute to visualizations, material explorations, and digital modeling that integrate light as a critical design element, something beyond mere illumination. Engaging with the studio’s phenomenological approach, it helps me translate theoretical concepts into both spatial strategies and technical solutions.
