Testing and Monitoring:Conduct periodic and targeted AML compliance testing reviews of business units and functions.Evaluate the design and operational effectiveness of AML controls (e.g, customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, suspicious activity reporting).Identify gaps and weaknesses in control frameworks and recommend corrective actions.2. Test Planning and Execution:Develop test plans, including risk assessments, sampling methodologies, and test scripts based on applicable regulatory requirements (e.g, BSA/AML, OFAC, FATF).Perform control testing through data analysis, walkthroughs, documentation review, and interviews.Execute end-to-end reviews covering customer onboarding, KYC, EDD, and ongoing transaction monitoring.Reporting and Documentation:Document testing results clearly and concisely, identifying deficiencies, issues, and root causes.Prepare formal reports for senior management and regulatory bodies with observations and recommendations.Maintain proper records of testing workpapers, evidence, and conclusions.4. Issue Management and Follow-Up:Track and validate the implementation of corrective action plans for previously identified issues.Monitor open issues and escalate delays or risks in remediation.5. Stakeholder Engagement:Liaise with Compliance Officers, Business Units, Internal Audit, and Risk teams to discuss findings and agree on action plans.Provide guidance and support during regulatory exams or audits related to AML.6. Regulatory Awareness and Enhancement:Stay current on regulatory developments, enforcement actions, and industry best practices.Contribute to the continuous improvement of the AML testing framework and methodology.
