In my current role as a Workflow Information Analyst at Next’s E3 Warehouse in South Elmsall, I’m responsible for managing and reporting workflow data across three busy distribution sites. I handle all workflow reporting, producing hourly and end-of-shift reports that cover site productivity, stock movement, station utilisation, and more, for volumes of over units a night, plus returns. I use Excel, Google Sheets, and Mainframe systems daily to run operational batches and generate real-time insights that help inform stock release and resourcing decisions. I regularly liaise with the Assistant Site Manager to coordinate hourly batch plans and raise any data queries. I’ve also built a few automated Excel tools to streamline our reporting, and I track daily KPIs that feed into longer-term trend analysis. It’s a fast-paced environment where ownership and accuracy matter, and I’ve enjoyed being part of a team that values both.Beyond the day-to-day, I’ve been actively looking for ways to improve processes and contribute to wider planning discussions. I’ve started sharing feedback on batch timings and volume patterns, and I’m keen to take on more involvement in areas like forecasting and resource modelling. Working in this role has strengthened both my technical skills and my ability to communicate insights clearly under pressure, especially when decisions need to be made quickly and backed by accurate data.
