Sound Transit Stride Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Program: Sound Transit\'s Stride BRT is a new fast, frequent, and reliable bus service connecting to light rail and to communities north, east, and south of Lake Washington. The Stride BRT program has been developed through two planning, project development, and preliminary engineering contracts. Arcadis IBI Group, as a sub-contractor, was brought in during conceptual design (Phase 2) to develop a systems-focused concept of operations and continued work for 30% Design (Phase 3), which included: Stations Systems Design; Bus Base North Systems Design; Program-wide Systems work; Early Operations and Maintenance start up planning support. The Stride BRT program consists of a new bus maintenance facility (Bus Base North) and over 40 projects located along three service lines: S1, S2 and S3. Within each service line, there are multiple Contract Unit Descriptions (CUDs). The CUDs are essentially the projects within the overall program and how ST organizes the work efforts. • Working as an Integration Manager (IM) on the General Engineering Consultant (GEC) side for Sound Transit Stride BRT program. I am responsible for Interface coordination and Systems Integration of various projects within the overall Stride BRT program by identifying civil-civil, civil-Systems, and Systems-Systems interfaces, defining the requirements at each interface boundary, managing the interfaces during all steps of the design process, coordination and documentation of interfacing elements involved in the project through interface documents and Interface Control Forms. The purpose of this procedure is to provide a formal, systematic, and documented process to ensure that design elements prepared by the design consultants, or a design-builder are compatible, integrated and will not conflict during construction, testing, commissioning, and revenue service.
