About Nikhil Raghavan

I have been instrumental in growing Jet Airways and transforming the aviation industry. In the fifteen years that I have been at the company, I have played numerous roles in e-commerce and information technology. I have been a part of the payments and e-commerce ecosystem since 2004.Over the years, I have developed expertise in creating customised mobile and web-based B2B and B2C products, and state of the art backend IT infrastructure to ensure the smooth running of a large airline.I have led numerous first-in-industry initiatives that have changed the face of the aviation industry in India. Starting with the first Online Booking Engine in 2004 and seamless Web Check-in and Kiosk Check-in in the years that followed, I have repeatedly showcased an innovator’s mindset. I also partnered with airports in India to set up fast track check-in and Mobile Boarding Pass in 2013. I was recognised by IATA in 2017 as a ‘Leader in Transforming the Industry’.My efforts significantly increased the company’s direct revenue through online channels. From USD a day, I scaled daily revenue to 2 M USD, contributing to 17% of the total revenue for the company. I also implemented company-wide products and platforms that helped Jet Airways increase revenue from online channels, and improve operational and ancillary revenue.I have led several large technology projects that have transformed the company into an ‘Industry Leader’ in cutting edge technology. I have also driven several IT projects mandated by the Government to improve the passenger experience at airports. My track record of on-time deliveries and pioneering innovations have built my reputation within the IT and aviation industry.I have also been a panelist at numerous industry conferences across the globe addressing key issues in the IT industry. At Jet Airways, I led a team of 250+ and managed a cost budget of 450 M USD with over 80 partners.
