Execution ResponsibilitiesPlanning & CoordinationDevelop execution schedules in line with overall project timeline. Coordinate with design, procurement, and construction teams. Prepare method statements and execution plans for structural and equipment erection works.Site Execution ManagementSupervise fabrication and erection of steel structures (buildings, pipe racks, conveyor galleries, etc.). Oversee equipment erection: material handling systems, furnaces, reactors, conveyors, etc. Ensure proper rigging, lifting, and alignment of heavy equipment. Monitor subcontractor activities for compliance with scope and timeline.Resource ManagementEnsure availability and efficient use of manpower, machinery, tools, and consumables. Monitor subcontractor productivity and resource allocation.Safety ComplianceEnforce site safety standards and conduct toolbox talks. Ensure all lifting/erection activities follow safety protocols.Quality Assurance / Quality Control ResponsibilitiesQuality PlanningDevelop and implement quality control plans (QCPs), inspection and test plans (ITPs). Ensure QA/QC documentation is prepared and maintained as per ISO and project requirements.Inspection & TestingConduct inspections during fabrication (welding, dimensional checks, surface preparation). Monitor and verify erection tolerances, bolting, and welding quality on-site. Witness and review NDT reports (UT, RT, PT, PAUT, MPT, VT) and third-party inspections.Non-Conformance ManagementIdentify and report non-conformances (NCRs). Ensure corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are implemented. Maintain NCR logs.Documentation & HandoverMaintain inspection reports, WPS/PQR/Welder qualification records. Compile final quality dossier for handover to client/consultant.Key Skills & ToolsKnowledge of fabrication codes: IS, AWS D1.1, ASME, ASTMQA/QC tools: WPS, PQR, NDT techniquesProject planning tools: MS ProjectReading of engineering drawings: GA, Shop, Isometric, Equipment Layouts
