ABOUT NIKHIL MUNDLIK

I am senior Oracle DBA with proven abilities and good exposure to latest aspects of Oracle database and related technologies like RAC / ASM, Goldengate, RMAN, Dataguard, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Exadata, etc while working to support core Oracle DBA tasks like diagnosis, migration, refreshes, out of hours support work, tuning, DR test, builds, upgrade, patching, etc. I am ITIL V3 certified and love mentoring and managing tasks for junior individuals and creating POCs. I am also learning ML and AI to transition my career to ML/AI/automation to add tremendous value to the world in tandem with my Oracle DB knowledge, experience & mentoring skills. I am also pursuing to build a website gaw-mission.org (albeit slowly) to enhance my animal welfare goals. It\'s a personal mission for Global Animal Welfare. Major highlights of my Oracle DBA career include:(but not limited to)1. I am continuously upgrading my skills to improve in new fields of endeavor like Ansible, AI, etc to automate mundane tasks in an effort to add substantial value to organization.2. In a very short span, I have acquired significant understanding of general database systems and their co-relationship with client\'s business allowing me to adopt faster to new environments. I have worked as Oracle DBA in Insurance, Banking and Energy domain, all of which have high transaction and data volumes.3. I had been able to resolve performance bottlenecks in high volume critical database systems, with proven abilities to identify bottlenecks to database performance using OEM/AWR/ASH/ADDM, SQL tuning advisory, segment advisory, SQL access advisory and so on while applying knowledge of SQL plan stability, Instance tuning and general database tuning techniques to resolve those bottlenecks.4. I had been able to implement newer technological advances in regular business systems of the major clients. For example, I had installed and configured OEM 12c cloud control right from scratch (OMS, repository and agents) in a large critical banking environment.5. I have proven abilities to restore and recover critical production database with backup tool like RMAN for disaster recovery.6. I have extensive experience and knowledge in planning and executing activities like DR tests, database upgrades, patching or migration.7. I am proactive and have good communication skills with strong focus on delivering, especially when communication with client is heavily involved.8. I had performed cross platform migration from Solaris to Linux cum database upgrade from 11g to 12c for same DB.
