About Nikhil Ladha
With over 5 years of experience building scalable backend systems at industry leaders like IBM and Red Hat, I specialize in cloud-native technologies, infrastructure automation, and open-source development—skills I bring to high-impact backend engineering roles. At IBM, I’ve led initiatives around Kubernetes CSI components, contributing to open-source projects like csi-addons, ceph-csi, and go-ceph. My work spans implementing features such as VolumeGroup protocol support and Prometheus metrics integration, leveraging Golang, Docker, and Kubernetes. At Red Hat, I enhanced CI/CD pipelines for the OpenShift Data Foundation, reducing build times by 25%, while managing hotfix workflows and resolving production-critical issues in distributed storage systems. Beyond my day job, I have been an active open-source contributor and maintainer at Layer5—building developer tools for Kubernetes, improving UI/API features, and mentoring 100+ contributors. These experiences have strengthened my technical communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.I’m always eager to contribute to forward-thinking engineering teams and bring my backend expertise, systems thinking, and open-source mindset to impactful projects. To know more about me, feel free to checkout on my GitHub profile at https://github.com/Nikhil-Ladha
