ABOUT NIKHIL RANGA RAO KUNDETI
Civil & Structural EIT | IDOT | M.S. Civil Engineering — University of Houston I design infrastructure that people depend on daily — from a $15M+ interstate corridor spanning 22 miles to seismic structural models built to Life-Safety standards. Currently at the Illinois Department of Transportation, I lead geometric design and technical documentation for the I-80/I-74 preservation corridor using OpenRoads Designer and MicroStation. I\'ve also built automated Excel tools that cut manual design time by 40% — because I believe engineering time should go toward solving problems, not repeating calculations. On the structural side, I use ETABS and STAAD Pro for seismic and static analysis, and have delivered 70+ construction drawings across RCC systems. A value engineering initiative I contributed to reduced concrete usage by 1,200 m³, saving approximately on a single project. My background sits at the intersection of roadway geometry and structural strength — which means I can speak both languages fluently and add value across project phases, from design through field inspection. EIT Certified | Texas Board of Professional Engineers Based in Illinois | Actively seeking opportunities across the USA | Strong preference for Texas Let\'s talk: n••••••••@gmail.com
