About Nikhil Kulkarni
Passionate PG research scholar in QM/MM & computational drug design.I am pursuing an M.S. in pharmacoinformatics at NIPER Kolkata, with a strong focus on computational biology, molecular dynamics simulation, quantum chemistry, molecular docking, and machine learning-driven model building & training. My research involves QM/MM studies, DFT-based quantum chemical studies, molecular simulations, and machine-learning models for drug design.I have hands-on experience with Gaussian 16W, the Python ecosystem, GROMACS, Schrodinger Maestro and AutoDock Vina, along with expertise in programming languages like Python, R, C/C++, and Perl. My research includes: Computational Study of CO₂ Sequestration using Intramolecular Frustrated Lewis Pairs (IFLP) Quantum Chemical Studies on Artemisinin\'s Mechanism of Action Computational study of lactone and non-lactone-based antioxidant compounds of rosemary. Ligand Screening in Drug Discovery Using Molecular Dynamics and DockingBeyond research, I actively contribute to scientific communities. I have received awards such as the Gold Medal at the Aavishkar Research Convention and the Research Fellowship from the Government of Maharashtra. I am eager to collaborate on projects in computational chemistry, bioinformatics, and AI-driven drug discovery.
