Working as a Program Manager managing vendor management changes spanning across the various applications namely ESM, Asset control and THOR. Being strict on timelines, the project has to be implemented on the said date (not a day before or after) so that vendor changes do not break the system. As a project manager, I have to work with the BAs, delivery teams, UAT testers to ensure that the end to end release is managed smoothly without any surprises. Actively lead implementation of agile practices and promoted significant use of JIRA tool leveraging all the features it provides to improve the collaboration.IPMDM reference data systems are responsible for delivering instrument and pricing information to other systems at Barclays. Reference data group gets data from various vendors, stock exchanges, agencies. Reference data serves as the single interface for communicating with all the exchanges referred here as vendor. On a daily basis hundreds of data files are processed impacting millions of data points in the system. Vendor Management program caters to the changing vendor requirements in terms of the changes in the instrument and price data feed provided to Barclays. Barclays has to react to these changes in a timely fashion to avoid any data issues for the consumers. The primary consumers are the downstream consumers in Barclays systems. Vendor notification in most of the cases follow strict timelines and expect their consumers to react without any further delay.
