ABOUT NIHARIKA MEHROTRA
As a Research Consultant with the Next Generation India Fellowship, I work at the intersection of climate policy, governance, and youth-led development. I support high-level research, stakeholder consultations, and strategic initiatives that translate emerging disruptors like AI, climate change, urbanisation, and demographic shifts, into policy pathways for India’s future. I graduated from the London School of Economics and Ashoka University, with a dissertation on women’s empowerment and the adoption of clean energy technologies in India. My professional experience includes work with Tata Motors, the Centre for Social and Economic Progress (CSEP), Asia Society, and Chatham House, with a focus on climate innovation and sustainability transitions. I bring technical experience in R and Microsoft Excel, along with exposure to ESG integration and environmental risk management.My aim is to contribute to policy innovation that accelerates climate action and improves outcomes for communities and institutions.
