ABOUT NIHALIKA K.
I’m Nihalika, a Biotechnology masters graduate with hands-on experience across multiple lab environments. During my internships, I’ve gained practical expertise in PCR, DNA extraction & purification, ELISA, microscopy, immunohistochemistry, and next-generation sequencing 🧪. I’ve also been deeply involved in experimental design, data analysis, and troubleshooting, which has strengthened my problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Academically, I recently completed my MSc in Biotechnology, where I focused on - Generation of CRISPR-iSTOP mutations in mouse embryonic stem cells (mESCs) for Brain Organoid Models of Trappc9-related microcephaly, giving me a solid foundation in both theoretical knowledge and practical lab techniques. I’m passionate about translating scientific concepts into meaningful results and enjoy working on projects that challenge me to think critically and creatively.Outside the lab, I indulge in creative hobbies like junk journaling and digital designing, they help me approach problems with fresh perspectives and maintain balance in a busy schedule!I’m eager to bring my skills and enthusiasm to a lab-based role and contribute to meaningful research-ready to start and make an impact!
