About Nihal Goli

Hello, everyone! I am a Miami University graduate where I completed a Master of Accountancy program and double majored in Finance and Accounting. Ever since I got to Miami, I knew being a part of the ever-changing business world is where I want to be. Through the University Honors Program, I was able to explore various professional interests and decided on committing to my current path. Through past internships at the Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals, and Penske Logistics, I developed a solid foundation of business communication, was introduced to working in a professional environment, and gained invaluable experience while working with knowledgeable veterans of the business world. I gained additional professional experience through Miami\'s First Year Integrated Core Client Challenge. Throughout this challenge, I worked with a team of carefully selected students to create an innovative solution to reduce administrative costs for Cleveland Clinic. At the end of the challenge, my team and I pitched our Augmented Reality based solution to a Cleveland Clinic executive. This Client Challenge gave me my first real taste of working with a team in the business world, and quite frankly, made me hungry for more. I then interned at PwC during the summer before both my junior and senior years. The first internship was designed with a goal of introducing interns to PwC\'s various lines of service. However, as a student with a background in both accounting and finance, I was looking for a field that combined both areas of my studies beyond the traditional audit, tax, and advisory services. I interviewed and landed a position as a Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Services intern within PwC\'s Deals practice. During this internship, I was able to fine tune my data transformation skills for use in a capital markets setting, improve my business communications skills, and work alongside a team on a real world deal. I also benefited from completing and presenting a pro-forma case study throughout the internship with a group of fellow interns. After the internship, I was able to secure a full-time offer and am currently working with the PwC CMAAS team in Dallas, TX! Outside of the classroom, I enjoy playing basketball with my friends (I have been playing as long as I can remember), trying out new restaurants and foods with my family, visiting my extended family in India, listening to music, and playing guitar.
