ABOUT NIGMA MUSTAFA
I started my career as a mechanical engineer, building automation systems and designing fixtures. I spent my early years on shop floors, working with SolidWorks and troubleshooting equipment in real time. It taught me how to solve problems quickly, communicate clearly with customers, and stay grounded in practical results. Eventually, I moved from mechanical design into the energy efficiency space. That shift came naturally. I had always been interested in how things work, but now I wanted to know how they could work better. I began supporting utility energy efficiency programs, reviewing projects, calculating savings, and making sure customers and contractors were aligned with program goals. Over time, I took on leadership roles and began managing entire Midstream Programs for major utility clients across multiple states. I have led cross functional teams, handle budgets over five million dollars, and make decisions that impact how programs are delivered, how incentives are structured, and how partners engage with us. I am a Certified Energy Manager and currently pursuing an MBA to strengthen the business side of my technical background. My goal is to shape the future of sustainable infrastructure by designing smarter buildings, cleaner systems and people-centered solutions that reduce emissions, cut waste and create healthier spaces for communities today and the next generation. If you are in the utility, energy, or program delivery space and want to connect or share insights, feel free to reach out.
