ABOUT NIGEL STONE
I work with founders, CEOs and leadership teams who are navigating the reality of growth.With over 25 years’ experience as an entrepreneur, CEO and senior operational leader, I have built, led and scaled organisations across complex, multi-regional environments in the public, private and third sectors. As a former Founder and CEO, I led a pan-European organisation delivering large-scale programmes across the UK and Europe, with responsibility for multi-million-pound budgets, senior leadership teams and complex delivery networks.Much of my work has focused on what founders often struggle with most as their businesses grow: developing a growth mindset, translating strategy into execution, building effective governance, creating operational clarity and leading through complexity. I have designed and implemented the systems, processes and reporting structures that enable confident decision-making at the board and executive levels, particularly in environments with high accountability, diverse stakeholders and multiple funding streams.Alongside this, I have worked extensively with start-up and scale-up entrepreneurs, supporting them to navigate growth, leadership pressure and organisational complexity. This includes helping founders step into more strategic leadership roles, strengthen their teams and structures, and make better decisions as their businesses scale. My coaching approach is underpinned by a Doctorate in Coaching and Mentoring and an MBA in Entrepreneurship. This academic foundation supports an evidence-based, reflective and highly practical way of working, combining real-world entrepreneurial experience with deep insight into how leaders develop, make decisions and perform under pressure.Clients and colleagues describe my style as calm, thoughtful and solutions-focused. I work collaboratively, challenge constructively and help leaders create clarity where things feel complex or overwhelming. I am particularly effective with founders who want to scale sustainably, lead with confidence and build organisations that stand out as exceptional.
