Nigel Green is an experienced expert in architecture, strategy, and transformation, specializing in event-driven microservices solutions for blue-chip systems integrators and leading brands globally. He has worked in various industries, including Postal, Supply Chain & Logistics, Transport, Utilities, Government, Entertainment, and Consulting. His career in Strategy & Architecture started when he worked for DHL, where he was assigned global responsibility for improving information flow and business processes across more than 200 countries. In 2005, he joined Capgemini as a Managing Enterprise Architect, where his clients included the Home Office, Royal Mail, HMRC, and The States of Jersey.Nigel Green has a unique ability to communicate the benefits of architecture-led transformation and apply innovative technologies, such as Highly scalable Event-Driven microservices architecture & CloudEvents 1.0 adoption at Royal Mail and Event-sourced Microservices architecture patterns applied to the Gambling industry across a landscape of retail outlets and gaming kiosks resulting in £15+ in improved revenue. His technical expertise includes IOT/M2M and Event-driven design patterns, Agile/Evolutionary Architecture & Agile practices (SAFe), Service Design, and Service-Oriented Architecture.In 2016, Nigel Green started his freelance consulting and advisory work, where he provided Event-driven microservices architecture services to Royal Mail, Event Taxonomy, microservices patterns, Event Object definition, and CloudEvents 1.0 adoption. He also worked for The CoreStory, advising companies worldwide on how to plan and execute large-scale digital change programmes.Nigel Green has an impressive work history, including being the Lead Architect for Data Fabric Architecture at LadbrokesCoral PLC, where he designed and deployed an event-driven microservices architecture platform deployed on AWS and Azure.
