Supervision, coordination and control of the safe and efficient execution of project operations in accordance with project procedures including mobilisation, deck and subsea activities. Key role in liaising with multiple departments such as the offshore construction manager, project engineers, clients, ROV crew, marine crew and 3rd party subcontractors.Key responsibilities• Central controller for all project operations, instructing each department as defined in the project procedures.• Responsible person for the Permit to Work system.• Maintaining an accurate log of all activities conducted during the shift• Conduct and/or participate in activities such as Tool Box Talks (TBT), Management of Change, Risk Assessments.• Reporting any unsafe acts, conditions or behaviours using on board reporting system/process• Attendance and active participation at onshore operations reviews and risk assessments• Personnel development including training identification and annual appraisals• Ensure all relevant personnel have been trained in how to use permanent/project specific equipment onboard the vessel such as bolt tensioning equipment, winches, cherry pickers etc.Key operational skills• Significant experience with Vertical Lay Systems for flexible pipe and umbilical installation and recovery in a range of water depths.• Fully conversant with diverless connections both horizontal and vertical• Extensive experience of heavy lift operations on and offshore• Use of survey navigational software such as WinFrog, NaviPac and Starfix.• Working knowledge of WROV systems and their capability and limitations to perform project tasks• Working knowledge of vessel DP systems and in particular it’s limitations• Use of multiple communications systems such as clear coms, UHF and VHF radio to control operations.
