ABOUT NIGEL KIRK
Over the last 35 years I have gained a broad range of mechanical engineering skills within the pump industry and I have made a steady progression through various departments within an engineering environment. After completion of a mechanical & production engineering apprenticeship I spent 12 years as a field service engineer covering pump installation and repair work for all industries including oil & gas offshore and then a further 2 years as a technical support engineer. I have then further progressed my career into a supervisory and then a managerial role working in various departments including contracts, projects and for the last 7 years in a Field Service managerial position with full P&L responsibility. I work closely with the Aftermarket and OE sales business units in identifying potential opportunities for increase revenue for the field service division. I have excellent man management skills and I am able to adapt quickly and readily to new roles and responsibilities, demonstrate initiative and sound judgement in all tasks, and I am able to build and maintain positive relationships with customers and colleagues at all levels.
