Nidhi Pant is the Co-Founder of Science For Society (S4S Technologies), a pioneering social enterprise at the intersection of agriculture, gender equality, clean energy, and financial inclusion. With a focus on building resilient livelihoods for smallholder women farmers, Nidhi has been instrumental in creating innovative models that address two of agriculture\'s biggest challenges: post-harvest food losses and income insecurity.Through S4S, Nidhi promotes renewable energy-powered food preservation and processing technologies that enable farmers to reduce waste, extend shelf life, and access new markets. The organization\'s proprietary Solar Conduction Dryer—an electricity-free, solar-powered food dehydrator—allows farmers to preserve produce for up to one year without chemicals. S4S transforms landless women farmers into micro-entrepreneurs, providing them with technology, training, access to finance, and guaranteed market linkages to major food and beverage brands including Marico, Nestlé, Sodexo, Unilever, and Indian Railways.This model enables women farmers to double their incomes, move out of poverty, and gain dignity as business owners and food processors.
