ABOUT NIDHI GULABANI

As a dedicated and ambitious student pursuing a BSc in Psychology at Christ University, I am passionately laying the groundwork for a future career in psychology. My academic journey, beginning with a science background at Jain College and schooling at KLE International School, Belagavi. Beyond academics, I am the proud founder of Hope Harbour, an NGO established with the mission of addressing and spreading awareness about social issues that often go unnoticed. Leading a team of dedicated members, we conduct awareness sessions in government schools, ashrams, and private institutions, empowering young minds with knowledge on vital social topics. We also spend weekends with children and the elderly, creating spaces of warmth and connection.I am also an active member of the Centre for Social Action (CSA) at Christ University. Under CSA, I contribute to Drishti as a writer for street plays and proscenium acts that raise awareness about crucial societal issues, echoing our motto “Kholo Apni Drishti.” I also work with the Education and Skill Development initiative, where I teach the women (fondly called akkas) on campus essential life skills, from financial literacy to languages, helping them build independence and confidence.My passion for creativity and performance continues through House of Misfits where I am part of Praahar, the theatre wing, performing in stage productions. Additionally, I am a member of the Psynergy Club, the official Psychology Department club, where I contribute to the Events Committee, conceptualizing and managing academic and cultural events that bring psychology to life beyond classrooms.Alongside these roles, I am part of CAPS – the Centre for Academic and Professional Support, under the Research and Development Team, where I contribute to academic and professional initiatives that promote learning and growth.I joined Toastmasters International, a global platform that refines public speaking, communication, and leadership skills. Through Toastmasters, I am working to enhance my articulation, stage presence, and delivery, learning to communicate with clarity and impact.I have also contributed as a co-author to the book Sunk Cost Fallacy, published by Rosewood Publications, which deepened my writing and collaborative skills.My journey so far has equipped me with a dynamic skill set, I am a confident speaker, a driven leader, a thoughtful writer, and a passionate learner, constantly striving for growth and meaningful impact.
