I live at the intersection of planning, policy, and planet-saving (with a little GIS magic on the side). Growing up in the breathtaking yet fragile landscape of Kashmir, I learned early on that development without sustainability is a disaster waiting to happen. Now, with over five years of experience in urban and environmental planning, I help turn ambitious ideas into actionable solutions for a better, greener world. What I do: Help cities breathe easier with climate-resilient action plans (Srinagar’s net-zero roadmap? That’s one of mine). Transform tourism policies into eco-friendly experiences (J&K’s first Eco-Tourism Policy? Yep, I assisted in writing that). Bring money to the table for sustainable projects (secured $20M+ through Public-Private Partnerships). Who I’ve worked with: Organizations like Ernst & Young, UNDP, the World Bank, and local governments that need a sustainability champion with a knack for making climate-smart sound cool (or at least doable). Why I do it: Because the world doesn’t need another band-aid fix. It needs bold, inclusive, and adaptive strategies that put people and the planet first. And honestly? I can’t imagine doing anything else. What’s next: Scaling up my expertise in sustainable finance, socio-technical interventions, and enterprise-driven climate solutions to help more cities and communities thrive.
