ABOUT NIDA SHAHID
I am a PhD graduate in Organometallic Chemistry from IIT Indore. During my doctoral research, I focused on the synthesis and characterization of high-valent Ru-NHC complexes and explored their reactivity in various applications, including catalysis, inorganic synthesis, and electrochemical water oxidation catalysis.I have gained extensive hands-on experience with numerous spectroscopic and analytical techniques commonly used in wet labs. Additionally, I am proficient in handling sophisticated instruments such as the Glove-box and Schlenk line, which are essential for performing sensitive chemistry under an inert atmosphere. My research contributions have resulted in the publication of three first-author papers in renowned journals published by ACS and RSC.Throughout my PhD journey, I developed strong teamwork and leadership skills, collaborating effectively with lab mates on related projects, often serving as a team lead.For my Master’s thesis at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, I worked on the synthesis of Ag nanoparticles using Eucalyptus leaf extract.
