ABOUT MATTEO NICOLI
I am an Energy and Nuclear Engineer. Since November 2024, I have been a research fellow at Università degli Studi di Torino, supervised by. I have been involved in the 37th PhD cycle in Energetics at Politecnico di Torino from November 2021 to May 2025, supervised by. and.(NC State University). Since March 2023, I have been affiliated with NC State University as a visiting scholar.My research activity concerns the field, mainly focusing on the development of the modeling tool and of the - and - model instances. Within the collaborative environment of the MAHTEP Group, I contributed at developing advanced methodologies, including: dynamic GHGs accounting, sustainability assessment, energy storage capacity expansion, studying the economic implications of the energy transition, evaluating the consumption of critical raw materials in future scenarios and the associated supply risk.
