About Nicole Jarel

I am an undergraduate student at the University of Southern California, currently in my senior year at the the Leventhal School of Accounting and working towards a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. In my years at College of the Canyons, I discovered my passion for accounting and my desire to work for a large firm. I immediately got involved in campus activities and sought to connect with students and faculty on campus. I was a member of Gamma Beta Phi, which I held the position of Secretary in my final year there, and a member of Phi Theta Kappa. Both of these honor societies helped me network with other academically driven students and engage in activities that dealt with serving our community. As a transfer student (Spring 2020 admit) I was apart of the Leventhal Transfer Program, and have recently joined ALPHA USC and USC Accounting Society. I am also in the process of becoming a member of the USC Helenes. With joining all these organizations, and hopefully more throughout the semesters to come, I am looking forward to improving my communication, leadership, and networking skills. I have always been a huge traveler, so I am also very interested in studying abroad to connect what I study in business courses to how business works on a global level. By seeking opportunities and continuing to further my studies at USC, I hope to gain more professional knowledge and experience in order to pursue my goal of becoming an auditor for one of the big accounting firms.
