About Nicole Teyechea

Dr. Nicole Teyechea is a leader, teacher, learner, and innovator. Growing up in the border town of Nogales, Arizona, she was educated in an English-only school system. As a result, she became an advocate of Dual Language Learning and opened two Spanish immersion preschools in Phoenix, Arizona. She has over 25 years of experience teaching teachers and school leaders about improving educational opportunities for all students and educators. Dr. Teyechea has taught Preschool to 12 grades. She has consulted for Pearson/Savvas and the Bureau of Education & Research, served as a professor at Arizona State University and Grand Canyon University, and is most proud of her two, bilingual children.
