About Nicole Mendoza
I am a 5th year chemical engineering and spanish major at the University of Rhode Island studying abroad in Zaragoza Spain at the Universdad de Zaragoza. I am apart of the 5-year International Engineering Program (IEP) where I am studying abroad in Zaragoza, Spain and completing a six month internship abroad as well ending Aug 2024.I have had experience working in Research & Development, Process Engineering, Technical Services and Manufacturing Services, and Monitoring Mechanical Equipment Health. I am seeking a full time job opportunity for September 2024 upon my completion of my year abroad. My ultimate goal is to continue to innovate in the technical field with an engineering team to design and develop, as well as embrace different methods to approach solutions. I would like to work as an engineer and a mentor to young students to recruit and mentor underrepresented minorities in the STEM field. Through my experience I have been able to discover MY WHY for doing and studying what I love: MY WHY is to engineer new ideas through curiosity, influence the next generation of underrepresented minorities in STEM, and to lead with compassion.
