A distinguished Healthcare Strategy and Nurse Leader, Dr. Lescota is both a committed and visionary executive with 20+ years’ experience in leading operational excellence. As Vice President of Nursing at Grady Memorial Hospital since 2020-present, Dr. Lescota governs the Level IV Labor and Delivery Unit, OB-ED, Mother-Baby unit, Level NICU, Neonatal transport team, and OB/GYN ambulatory clinic with 391 FTEs and 14 direct reports within a Level I Trauma academic institution comprised of 900+ beds. Dr. Lescota played an instrumental role inaccomplishing Level IV Maternal Designation with the Joint Commission and Baby-Friendly redesignation. A few notable achievements include opening the Obstetric Emergency Department improving access, throughput, and revenue. Additionally, she pioneered the mitigation of maternalmorbidity and mortality from postpartum hemorrhage (PPH), hypertension and sepsis through the implementation of bundles and nurse driven protocols. Throughout her tenure, Dr. Lescota has lead teams within Acute Care, Nursing Operations and Nursing Education and Professional Development. Furthermore, Dr. Lescota also launched theNurse Leadership Development Program leveraging the American Organization of Nursing Leadership (AONL) Nurse Manager Transition to Practice curriculum. Driving the hospital ecosystem forward, Dr. Lescota provides insight into overhauling practices concerning key performance indicators measured for patient success outcomes, engagement, satisfaction, improvement, and retention.
