I spent 18 years in the energy sector as part of the finance team, working within a Fortune 500 company. This experience gave me the opportunity to contribute to global projects, ranging from financially managing a vessel in Malaysia to overseeing cross-border asset transfers and reviewing contracts with major clients. I collaborated with teams focusing on sustainability, growth, and operational efficiency.I then joined a smaller specialty company to gain a broader perspective and learned the complexities of the entire process, from customer acquisition to cash receipt. Noticing the company was using a manual Excel process despite having a system, I advocated for automation or system enhancements to reduce manual manipulation. This experience taught me the importance of balancing speed with accuracy and thoroughly reviewing all details.I am exploring to see how I can leverage my skills and experience to help contribute to the success of an organization but also to help mentor and develop colleagues. I find great satisfaction in sharing knowledge and supporting the growth of others, particularly in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Additionally, I am eager to apply my expertise in financial analysis, specifically by diving deep into P&L statements and identifying deviations from historic trends. I enjoy uncovering insights that drive decision-making, highlight areas for improvement, and support strategic goals.
