About Nicole Ferlo
I am an accomplished consulting services professional with solid experience in program/project leadership, business analysis, operational optimization and delivery of complex business applications. I possess extensive experience in managing software implementations and business process re-engineering initiatives. My strong leadership and client management skills have been successfully demonstrated in a variety of business functions within the life sciences industry. With strong communication and analytical abilities, I have repeatedly been successful at bridging the gap between business and technology to maximize value and competitive advantage for clients. I am a highly organized, self-motivated, goal-oriented, team player who takes pride in my ability to find creative solutions and deliver projects on time and on budget.I am a Stevens Institute of Technology graduate with a Bachelors of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering. I have worked on a full time senior design project sponsored by an Anesthesiologist at UMDMJ. Specifically, I have redesigned and developed a new product from initial R&D stages, through prototype development, and eventually to marketing. The project has led to two publications; one specifically with the Association of Anesthesiologists which is attached below. I also have experience in research: on a stem cell growth and application team, and as a clinical researcher for a novel spinal device company. I worked in cell culture determining new ways to build skin graphs for burn patients during my education. My clinical research for spinal devices lead to multiple scientific writings - two peer reviewed publications on MIS spinal systems, multiple study protocols, and inclusion/exclusion requirements.I earned a masters degree in Engineering Management with a Graduate Certificate in Project Management and Systems Engineering in order to provide me with a stronger business outlook. I feel that these degrees help to make me a more well rounded employee. This has led to project management in the software industry and device industry - managing budgets, timelines, and global clients.Specialties: Medical Device, Biomedical Engineering, Cell culture, Tissue Engineering, Research & Development, FDA Regulation Knowledge, Quality Analysis, Customer Service, Project Management, Clinical Research, Statistical analysis, Technical writing
