I am a chemical engineer with an MBA degree who enjoys working in biotechnology, a field where people work together to discover products and technologies that help people with serious unmet medical needs. I have 20 years of technical and business experience with a focus on finance, communications, engineering and marketing at large companies and startups, including Genentech, Onyx, Gilead, Juno and Sana.My career is built on the foundation of strong data analysis that informs decision making in both science and business aspects, whether it is at a lab bench (protein purification), on the manufacturing floor (real-time technical support), developing tools to analyze business scenarios (operational/strategic finance and marketing) or communicating with Wall Street and other stakeholders (investor relations/corporate communications).Education consists of a B.S. in chemical engineering from Stanford University (with completed pre-medical school requirements) and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University focusing on biotechnology, finance and accounting.I have benefited from working in eight different departments, supporting clinical and marketed products, including Avastin, Rituxan, Herceptin, Kyprolis, Nexavar, Harvoni and Breyanzi.
