ABOUT NICOLE DAMBROGI

I am Nicole D’Ambrogi, a San Diego attorney, Navy veteran, and judicial candidate with a career rooted in public service and courtroom advocacy. For more than a decade, my work has focused on cases where the court’s decisions shape families, finances, and futures. My courtroom experience is closely tied to protecting vulnerable individuals, including children who have lost parents to death or addiction, adults with disabilities who are unable to protect themselves, and elderly individuals facing exploitation. These populations are often prime targets for sophisticated physical and financial abuse, making the court’s role essential in ensuring protection, accountability, and stability.I regularly appear in court on complex matters involving guardianships, conservatorships, contested estates, and trust disputes. These cases require careful evaluation of evidence, credibility, and competing interests, and they demand thoughtful, steady, and principled decision-making. My practice has centered on safeguarding those at risk while ensuring fairness when conflict or misconduct brings parties before the court. In addition to my private practice, I serve as Director of Clinical Programs and continue to supervise the Veterans Legal Assistance Clinic, where I train law students while providing legal representation to low-income veterans. The clinic represents veterans in contested family law matters, landlord-tenant disputes, benefits claims, and criminal record expungement, reinforcing the importance of access to justice and responsible advocacy.I am also an adjunct professor teaching Wills and Trusts, with an emphasis on statutory interpretation, ethics, and the real-world consequences of legal decisions. My decision to seek the bench is grounded in a commitment to fairness, preparation, and public trust. Judges must bring experience, balance, and an understanding of the real-world consequences of their decisions.Courts are where vulnerable people seek protection, good people seek justice, and those who break the law are held accountable. A judge must listen carefully, apply the law consistently, and recognize the lasting impact each ruling has on people’s lives. That is the kind of judge I am prepared to be.
