When I was 15, I asked my mother for money to buy my favorite perfume-Heaven, by Gap. She responded by taking me to our neighborhood McDonald’s and asking for an application. “You’re going to work here!” I asked. “No,” she said. “You’re going to buy your own perfume.” The ambition that my mom instilled in me back then has continued to push me to tackle every step in my professional development with determination-from that first Crew position, up through management in the Chicago and Atlanta areas, to VP for one of the largest McDonald’s franchises in the Midwest and now as the VP & Chief Operating Officer at BFRx Hospitality.I’ve also discovered a natural ability to identify sticking points in processes, gaps in strategy, and areas where adjustments in policy would make improvements for both my executive and front-line teams. That skill has been put to good use as I’ve streamlined systems, refined procedures, and implemented new standards for reporting and record-keeping.And more recently I’ve identified a deeper source of motivation: giving back to my community and using my position to encourage others to do the same. From volunteering as a board member with our local animal shelter and chamber of commerce, to packing meals and distributing groceries with my coworkers at our local food pantry, I find great fulfillment in the work-and gratitude to be part of a company that supports those values. I believe that the only way to lead is with integrity-doing the right thing simply because it’s right. I believe the best relationships are built with empathy. And I believe there’s not much an ambitious, versatile, and highly organized person can’t accomplish.Now, in my next chapter, building BFRx Hospitality alongside my husband and our impressive team, I am looking forward to creating environments where people are treated with dignity, accountability is shared, and integrity guides every decision—by serving others, leading with respect, and pursuing excellence that genuinely improves lives and strengthens the communities we touch.I know our best and brightest future is yet to come and every day, I can\'t wait to be a part of this.
